A Pakistani politician loyal to former premier Imran Khan claimed on Saturday that ex-Army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa needed to “resettle” relations of the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the nation following Afghan Taliban’s takeover of Kabul in August 2021.
The remarks by Shireen Mazari, former human rights minister in Khan’s authorities, come at a time when there was a considerable enhance in terror actions throughout the nation, with an assault on the Karachi police chief’s workplace on Friday night time being the most recent incident.

“It was decided that before initiating a dialogue, a committee will be formed between the elected representatives and the military to form a consensus as our elected people have a lot of reservations,” she stated.

She then lamented that afterwards, the PTI authorities was ousted and the present authorities “did not care about what dialogue was to be held with whom”.
When requested about PTI Chairman Khan’s demand searching for authorized motion towards Gen Bajwa for alleged violation of the Constitution, Mazari stated that the social gathering “had all options open to it”.
Khan has approached President Arif Alvi and demanded an inquiry towards former Army chief Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa for repeatedly violating phrases of his oath, together with secretly taping conversations with him throughout his prime ministership.
On a query, if there was any risk given to Khan by Gen Bajwa, Mazari responded, “It has been heard that he gave a lot of threats. I was also present in many meetings [but] I do not want to say anything right now. Everything will come forward at its time.” She kept away from giving additional particulars saying the PTI cared that “many things are sensitive and confidential for the country” even when Gen Bajwa didn’t achieve this.
“Do not push us so much that we are forced to tell everything,” she added.
