Sandeep, who was in his 30s, hanged himself at his Goregaon flat, a police officer told the news agency. The ‘Kesari’ actor posted a nine-minute video on social media in which he said that he was frustrated with the fights with his wife Kanchan. He alleged that he was harassed and blackmailed by his wife and her mother.
“I would have died a long time ago but I decided to give some time to myself as I hoped things would getter better; however, they didn’t. I have a request. Please do not say anything to my wife after I am gone. Do get her treated,” the actor said in the video.
Nahar talked about the battles he faced in his professional and personal life in his Facebook video, which has now been removed from the social media platform.
“I am irritated by the constant threats and fights with my wife. You can handle the work stress but it’s difficult to handle a woman’s stress,” he said. The actor said that his wife often doubted him and her mother supported her in the matter.
In his ‘suicide note’, Nahar also mentioned the ‘politics’ he had to deal with in Bollywood. According to PTI, the actor talked about the ‘lack of emotions’ in the people working in Hindi cinema. He hinted that he was replaced in projects after signing the agreement. “The people in the industry put a fake face for the sake of this world,” Sandeep said while calling them ‘emtion-less’.
The Mumbai Police have registered a case in Sandeep Nahar’s case and they are currently busy investigating the matter.
On the career front, Sandeep had also featured in ‘Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai’, ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’ and ‘Shukranu’.
