Jaipur: Rajasthan petroleum dealers’ affiliation on Wednesday introduced to go on a day-long strike on Saturday to press for his or her demand of roll again in VAT on gasoline imposed by the state authorities.
Association’s president Suneet Bagai stated there shall be no sale of diesel and petrol in the state on Saturday.
The state authorities elevated the value-added tax through the corona pandemic and generated further income. The sale quantity in the state has declined by 34 p.c due to the decrease gasoline costs in neighbouring states, he stated.
There are about 7,000 petrol pumps in the state which can remain closed on Saturday, he stated.
