GREENVILLE, N.C.: Tyler Huff threw for 215 yards and a landing and Ian Williams made all three of his discipline targets together with a 52-yarder and FCS No. 3 Furman beat East Tennessee State 16-8 on Saturday.

Williams made discipline targets of 23 and 52 in the primary quarter and from 32 yards with 3:22 left in the third for a 9-0 lead. Just earlier than the third ended, Huff threw a 22-yard rating to Joshua Harris for a 16-0 benefit.

East Tennessee State scored when Ton’Quez Ball ran a blocked punt into the tip zone from 8 yards out. The two-level conversion decreased the Buccaneers’ deficit in half.

But because it had executed all recreation, the Paladins’ (7-1, 5-0 Southern Conference) protection pressured East Tennessee State (2-6, 1-4) right into a punt and turnover on downs and restricted the Bucs to 24 yards offense on its final two sequence.

William Riddle threw for 111 yards for ETSU and Furman’s protection intercepted him thrice.
