Barnalaâ: In a serious breakthrough, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab Police on Sunday shot dead wished gangster Gurmeet Singh alias Kala Dhanaula throughout an encounter in Barnala, mentioned officers. Since the encounter of Dhanaula, police have been deployed at each nook and nook.
Giving particulars in regards to the incident on X, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav mentioned the class âAâ gangster was neutralised at a farm home in Barnalaâs Badbar.
The DGP additional mentioned the accused was a history-sheeter with over 60 heinous felony circumstances registered towards him.
Two policemen injured
The police mentioned that an trade of gunfire occurred between the Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) group and the gangster. Shots had been fired from the gangster’s facet throughout this trade. In response, the police group retaliated with gunfire in self-defence. It was throughout this trade that the gangster, Gurmeet Singh, sustained gunshot wounds and died. Additionally, in the encounter, an Inspector and a Sub-Inspector of the police group had been injured. Both injured police personnel are at the moment receiving medical remedy.
