Maharashtra’s Thane district on Saturday witnessed a poisonous gasoline leak that got here from some cylinders that had been saved on open floor. The district civic official knowledgeable of the taking place, that came about round 10 pm in Thane’s Bhiwandi Township.

The was no casualty reported, Thane Municipal Corporation’s regional catastrophe administration cell chief Santosh Kadam mentioned.   

The cylinders that brought about the accident had been sixteen in quantity and contained sulphur dioxide. They had been saved on the floor in Chiknipada space of Khuni village in Bhiwandi. The gasoline leaked from two of the cylinders and unfold in the world, reported Kadam. 

Local firemen and police rushed to the spot and plugged the leakage after about two hours, the official mentioned. “No casualty has been reported so far,” he mentioned. 

Apart from this, one other LPG cylinder leak was reported in Thane’s Badlapur Township, that left 4 members of the family and a mechanic injured.
