Real property developer Godrej Properties Ltd on Friday mentioned it has acquired Raj Kapoor’s Bungalow in Chembur to develop a premium residential challenge. Though the corporate didn’t disclose the deal worth, a Moneycontrol report attributing property registration paperwork accessed by Zapkey.com mentioned it’s value Rs 100 crore.
The land and constructing is positioned at Deonar Cottage, Deonar Farm Road, Deonar, in Mumbai and the land space is 4,265.50 sq metre, in accordance with the Index 2 doc.
“The web site is positioned at Deonar Farm Road, Chembur, Mumbai, adjoining to Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and is taken into account to be probably the most premium residential neighbourhoods of Chembur. The land was bought from the Kapoor household, authorized heirs of Raj Kapoor – Legendary (*100*) actor, movie director, and producer,” Godrej Properties said in a statement on Friday.
In May 2019, Godrej Properties had also acquired R.K. Studios in Chembur, Mumbai, from the Kapoor family, to develop a premium mixed-use project, Godrej RKS. The project is expected to be delivered in 2023.

Godrej Properties had in January 2020 additionally launched a luxurious residential challenge on the iconic RK Studios in south Mumbai’s tony Chembur neighbourhood. The firm is launching Collector’s Edition three and four-bedroom residences, it had mentioned in an announcement. The structure of those luxurious houses is impressed by Bombay Art Deco. The improvement will supply state-of-the-art facilities, plush specs and robust safety attributes.
