Government is eager to advertise utilization of electrical or battery operated autos within the nation
To promote e-mobility throughout the nation, the Government is planning to introduce sure electrical or battery operated vehicle-friendly norms.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued a draft notification, proposing to exempt battery operated autos from cost of charges for issuance and renewal of registration certificates.
The ministry has sought feedback on it from most of the people and all involved stakeholders inside a span of thirty days of the issuance of the draft notification.
The notification had been issued on May 27, 2021 and the feedback have been sought earlier than June 27.
Once the feedback are acquired, the ministry will maintain inside consultations over them and after arriving at a specific resolution will incorporate the modifications and search Cabinet’s approval for amending the Central Motor Vehicles Rules of 1989.
