The authorities on Saturday imposed a minimal export worth (MEP) of USD 800 per tonne on onion exports until December 31 this 12 months with a view to extend availability of the vegetable within the home market and comprise costs. ”Exports on onion is free. MEP of USD 800 FOB (free on board) per tonne is imposed until December 31, 2023,” the Directorate General of Foreign Trade stated in a notification.
