It has additionally exempted 200 numbers of products or articles imported per yr for the aim of analysis and growth by the producers.

“The OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) shall maintain a year-wise record of such goods or articles and furnish the same, if so desired by the Government,” it stated.

Exemption have additionally been given to six,000 airtight compressors and warmth exchangers domestically manufactured or imported for upkeep and gross sales per yr by every of the producers.

This is “subject to the condition that such manufacturers shall declare its old stock” of airtight compressors and warmth exchangers, it added.

The DPIIT initially issued Air Conditioner and its associated Parts, Hermetic Compressor and Temperature Sensing Controls (Quality Control) Order, 2019 on December 5, 2019.
