In a bid to promote tourism, all-India tourist permits shall be offered to operators inside 30 days of online application submission, the federal government stated on Sunday. The new guidelines shall be relevant from April 1, 2021. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has introduced a brand new scheme, below which any tourist car operator could apply for an “All India Tourist Authorization/Permit” by online mode.
It shall be issued, after related paperwork are submitted and charges deposited, inside 30 days of submission of such functions, MoRTH stated in a press release.
The new set of guidelines, it stated, shall be generally known as, “All India Tourist Vehicles Authorization and Permit Rules, 2021”. The present permits shall proceed to be in power throughout their validity.
“The new rules for permits are expected to go a long way in promoting tourism across States in our country, while simultaneously, growing the revenue of state governments,” the assertion stated.
