Chandigarh: The Haryana authorities on Sunday introduced extending the COVID-induced lockdown within the state by a week till May 17.
Making the announcement on Twitter, Home and Health Minister Anil Vij stated that stringent measures will probably be taken to include the unfold of coronavirus infections within the state.
“Detailed order to be issued quickly,” the Health Minister stated in a tweet.

Minister Vij later advised PTI that the restrictions that are at the moment in drive will proceed till May 17.
In the previous few weeks, Haryana has registered a surge in COVID-19 infections in addition to fatalities.
Haryana on Sunday reported 151 COVID-19-related deaths taking the cumulative toll to five,605 and one other massive surge of 13,548 infections pushed the entire case depend to six,15,897.
Last week, the state authorities had imposed a lockdown within the state from May 3 to May 10 (5 am).
