Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren for despatched to 5-day judicial custody on Friday. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had requested for 10-day remand for the former CM of Jharkhand.

Earlier within the day, the Supreme Court refused to intrude together with his arrest by the ED in a cash laundering case former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and requested him to method the excessive courtroom.

A particular bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna, MM Sundresh and Bela M Trivedi requested senior advocates Kapil Sibal and Abhishek Singhvi, showing for Soren, to search reduction from the excessive courtroom.

JMM chief Hemant Soren, who had to step down as Jharkhand chief minister within the face of his imminent arrest, in his plea earlier than the highest courtroom had accused the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of arresting him as half of a “well-orchestrated conspiracy” by the Centre forward of the Lok Sabha elections due months from now.
