Soren was arrested after a seven-hour grilling by the ED in a cash laundering case on Wednesday (January 31).
Justice Dinesh Rai, the Special Judge of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court docket, reserved the order after hearing either side.Soren was on Wednesday evening arrested by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) after six hours of questioning within the cash laundering case linked to the alleged land rip-off.
According to the ED, CM Soren was questioned as an element of the probe into the massive racket of unlawful change of possession of land by the mafia. The probe pertains to large quantities of proceeds of crime generated by forging official information by displaying faux sellers and purchasers within the guise of solid or bogus paperwork to amass big parcels of land valued in crores.
