While campaigning for the May 10 Assembly polls, the Congress, particularly Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, had vehemently said that ban on hijab and all legal guidelines made on communal foundation by the earlier BJP authorities can be withdrawn as soon as the occasion assumes energy within the state.
