Himachal Pradesh fire: About 5,000 chickens stored in a poultry farm in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur have been burnt in a fire that broke out on Wednesday (December 27) evening, officers stated in the present day. The incident occurred late at evening and the reason for the fire is but to be ascertained.
There have been about 12,000 chickens on the farm, they added. The poultry farm’s proprietor Jagtar Singh claimed that he suffered losses in lakhs.
Batan Singh, in-charge of the Bijhri fire station, stated that about 5,000 small and large chickens have been burnt within the fire whereas the property of the farm was additionally been damaged.
Police have registered a case and additional investigation is on, officers stated.
