Himanta Cabinet on Saturday gave its nod to ‘Assam Healing (Prevention of Evil) Practices Bill, 2024’. The bill will prohibit and get rid of practices of “magical healing” within the title of therapy, proposing sturdy punitive motion in opposition to the “healers”.
