Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has invited expressions of curiosity (EoI) from appropriate Indian companies/industries/Small and medium-sized enterprises in integrating the high-end system of high-power electrical gear and power storage techniques for shortlisting as Indian Electrical System Integrator (IESI), for its e-Tugs challenge.
It is a novel alternative for Indian System Integrators to achieve experience within the integration of e-systems onboard high-end Green vessels, mentioned an official launch on December 16 (Saturday).
The chosen IESI is predicted to have a long-term partnership with HSL for the e-tug challenge and a much wider e-vessel programme of the HSL.

Recently, the HSL signed the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Adani Harbour Services and Visakhapatnam Port Authority for collaboration within the space of building of e-Tugs in the course of the Global Maritime India Summit held in Mumbai.
