Indian men’s and women’s hockey groups maintained their fourth and ninth place, respectively, within the newest International Hockey Federation (FIH) world rankings launched on Wednesday (June 2).

Despite lacking the European leg of the FIH Hockey Pro League sequence in Great Britain, Spain and Germany in April and May, the Indian men’s crew maintained its fourth spot.

India have 2223.458 factors of their kitty, higher than the 2063.78 factors collected within the 2020 season.

Belgium, the reigning world and European champions, with 2533.830 factors lead the desk, adopted by the 2019 FIH Hockey Pro League winners, Australia, with 2496.978.

The Netherlands are placed third with 2301.044 factors.

Germany with 2112.568 factors have jumped to fifth place as a consequence of their current performances within the FIH Pro League whereas Great Britain have additionally moved up a spot to the sixth place with 1976.092 factors.

Argentina, the reigning Olympic champions, are seventh with 1923.420 factors. New Zealand on 1672.689 factors are eighth whereas Spain ninth on 1636.865 factors. Canada with 1509.191 factors are tenth.

In the women’s class, India are ranked ninth with 1643.00 factors. In the 2020 FIH World rankings, the Indian crew had 1543.00 factors.

The Netherlands women’s crew is main with 2772.084 factors. Argentina, whose factors tally is 2235.598 factors, are second.

Australia with 2117.490 factors climbed to the third place whereas Germany slipped to the fourth place with 2115.185 factors. Great Britain are ranked fifth with 2111.857 factors.

In the underside half of the desk, New Zealand are placed sixth with 1916.268 factors whereas Spain are seventh at 1902.126 factors.

Ireland with 1683.086 factors are on the eighth spot adopted by India (1643.00 factors) and China on the backside with 1621.00 factors.
