SINSHEIM, Germany: Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann saved a penalty to assist protect a 1-1 draw for his workforce towards Mainz within the Bundesliga on Sunday.
The guests have been left ruing their misfortune as Baumann saved Aymen Barkok’s spot kick within the 68th minute and Marco Richter then twice hit the crossbar as they pushed for a winner.
Richter had opened the scoring within the thirty ninth minute for Mainz earlier than Robert Skov equalized within the forty eighth.
The draw meant Mainz remained in peril after 12 rounds, whereas Hoffenheim stayed sixth.
Earlier, promoted Heidenheim drew with Bochum 0-0.
