Holi celebration: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted people as people across the country are celebrating the event of festival of color Holi.
“Wishing you all a happy and colorful Holi! May your life always be filled with the colors of joy and enthusiasm,” PM Modi tweeted.
The festival of colours was being celebrated across the country. People have been seen in teams in each village and metropolis smearing gulaal on their faces and they’re additionally seen sprinkling colourful waters. Residential societies organized Holi occasions with music.
Unique Holi at UP temples
Twenty quintals of ‘tesu’ flowers and 50 quintals of ‘gulal’ of assorted hues are stocked at Dauji temple in Baldeo area of Uttar Pradesh to rejoice a singular Holi performed by ‘bhabhis’ and ‘devars’ — sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

“Twenty quintals of ‘tesu’ flowers, 50 quintals of ‘gulal’ (colour powder) of different hues, five quintals of alum, 10 quintals of lime and five quintals of saffron colour have been purchased,” Pandey stated.
Twenty quintals of rose and marigold petals have been additionally ordered. District Magistrate Pulkit Khare stated all safety preparations have been made for the day. Police personnel might be posted in plainclothes to test hooliganism and any misbehaviour with girls, he stated.
