Holi celebrations banned in Pune amid rise in COVID-19 cases

The district and civic authorities in Pune on Wednesday introduced that Holi celebrations in private and non-private locations are banned amid a surge in the each day depend of COVID-19 infections.

In an official order, district collector Rajesh Deshmukh mentioned in mild of the rise in cases of coronavirus, Holi celebrations in public areas comparable to motels, resorts and different public spots in the agricultural areas are banned.

Housing societies are additionally not permitted to carry Holi celebrations on their premises on March 28 and 29, the order acknowledged.

The Pune Municipal Corporation has additionally banned celebrations in resorts, motels, open areas and housing societies inside the metropolis limits.

Strict motion might be taken in opposition to violators of the order below related provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, it was acknowledged.
