Home Minister Amit Shah to begin Arunachal visit to launch Vibrant Villages Programme along India-China border

Amit Shah Arunachal visit: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will begin his two-day visit of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday. He will attend numerous occasions and work together with ITBP personnel in Kibithoo. The Home Minister can even launch the ‘Vibrant Villages Programme’ in Kibithoo, a village along the India-China border.

What is ‘Vibrant Villages Programme’ 


A house ministry assertion said that below the management of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the federal government of India has authorised the ‘Vibrant Villages Programme’ (VVP) with central parts of Rs 4,800 crore, together with Rs 2,500 crore solely for street connectivity for the monetary years 2022-23 to 2025-26. The VVP is a centrally sponsored scheme below which 2,967 villages in 46 blocks of 19 districts abutting the northern border within the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh and Union Territory of Ladakh have been recognized for complete improvement.

In the primary section, 662 villages, together with 455 in Andhra Pradesh, have been recognized for precedence protection.

The VVP will assist in bettering the standard of life of individuals residing in recognized border villages and encourage individuals to keep at their native places, thereby reversing the outmigration from these villages and including to the safety of the border, the assertion stated.

The district administration, with the assistance of acceptable mechanisms at block and panchayat ranges, will put together motion plans for the recognized villages to guarantee 100 per cent saturation of central and state schemes.

The focus areas of interventions recognized for the event of villages embrace street connectivity, consuming water, electrical energy together with photo voltaic and wind vitality, cellular and web connectivity, vacationer centres, multi-purpose centres and healthcare infrastructure and wellness centres.

Shah at  “Golden Jubilee Border Illumination Programme”

Shah, in his first visit to Arunachal Pradesh as house minister, will on April 10 inaugurate 9 micro hydel tasks of the state authorities constructed below the “Golden Jubilee Border Illumination Programme” in Kibithoo. These electrical energy tasks will empower individuals residing in border villages, the assertion stated.

He can even inaugurate Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) tasks to increase infrastructure at Likabali (Arunachal Pradesh), Chapra (Bihar), Nooranad (Kerala) and Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), it stated.

The house minister can even work together with ITBP personnel at Kibithoo in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh. An exhibition of merchandise made by members of ladies self-help teams of border districts can even be held.

Shah will visit the exhibition stalls, the assertion stated.

On April 11, he’ll visit Namti discipline and pay homage on the Walong struggle memorial, it stated.
