In a horrific incident from Punjab’s Tarn Taran, a 55-year-old lady was allegedly assaulted and paraded semi-naked in Valtoha village by her son’s in-laws after he obtained married towards the desires of the bride’s mother and father.
A purported video of the sufferer being paraded surfaced on social media on Friday. Police stated that the incident occurred on March 31, just a few days after the sufferer’s son eloped with a girl and married her towards her household’s needs.
As per the grievance filed by the sufferer, the lady’s son’s in-laws allegedly assaulted her and tore off her garments at a time when she was alone at her residence when her The sufferer additional alleged that they paraded her in the village in a semi-naked situation.

On the premise of the grievance, an FIR was registered on April 3 underneath IPC sections 354 (assault or felony pressure to lady with intent to outrage her modesty), 354B (assault or use of felony pressure to lady with intent to disrobe), 354D (stalking), 323 (voluntarily inflicting harm) and 149 (illegal meeting).
However, no arrests have been made in the case up to now.
