The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) on Wednesday demolished the home of an aide of criminal-turned-politician Atique Ahmed, positioned in Chakia, below the Kareli police station of Prayagraj for being illegally constructed. The home belonging to Khalid Zafar, a close affiliate of the previous MP, was below the radar of authorities for someday and see was issued in the previous for being illegally constructed. It is estimated that value of the home was roughly ₹2 crore.
Speaking with native media individuals, PDA Secretary Ajit Singh stated “the house belonging to Zafar has been bulldozed and some firearms were recovered which have been handed over to the police. The construction was carried out without prior approval of the authority and in the past also notice was issued.”

The motion comes two days after the Uttar Pradesh police and the Special Operations Group of the State police shot useless Arbaaz, an accused in the homicide of Umesh Pal, a chief witness in the sensational 2005 homicide case of Bahujan Samaj Party MLA Raju Pal. Umesh Pal was shot useless outdoors his home final week; the video of the tragic incident went viral on social media, resulting in uproar over the regulation and order state of affairs in the State. In the homicide case, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered towards Atique Ahmed, his spouse Shaista Parveen, two sons and dozens of others. After the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated in the Assembly that decisive motion could be taken towards the criminals, and added ‘ mafia ko mitti mei mila denge’ (we’ll destroy the criminals).
