House of the Dragon — a prequel to the well-known fantasy drama, the Games of Thrones — launched earlier this week on August 22. While the makers have launched only one episode of the present season but, HBO has already introduced Friday that the present shall be returning for one other season. The present depicts the glory days of the ancestors of fashionable kingdom rulers from the Games of Thrones. Set round 200 years in the past from the start of Daenerys Targaryen or the Khaleesi, the present is predicated on George RR Martin’s guide — Fire and Blood.
With an image of a dragon, HBO Max introduced on Twitter the renewal of the second season of the House of the Dragon. The transfer was taken after the Season 1’s debut in the US on Sunday gardened over 10 million viewers in a single day, setting an HBO document for a sequence opener.
The present has now set document for “the largest audience for any new original series in the history of HBO,” the tv community’s proprietor, WarnerMedia, stated in a
“Our phenomenal cast and crew undertook a massive challenge and exceeded all expectations. A huge thank you [to co-creator and executive producer George R.R. Martin and co-creator and showrunners Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik] for leading us on this journey. We couldn’t be more excited to continue bringing to life the epic saga of House Targaryen with season two,” stated Francesca Orsi, govt VP, HBO programming.
The first season of the House of the Dragon has 10 episodes, directed by Ryan J. Condal in affiliation with different showrunners. The sequence, with weekly launch, will conclude on October 24. In India, the present is being aired on Disney+ Hotstar.
Meanwhile, it’s to be famous that the Game of Thrones ran for eight seasons between 2011 and 2019. The sequence presently has not less than seven different spinoff initiatives in the works.
