Since its inception in 2008, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has lived as much as its motto, ‘Talent meets opportunity’. Every 12 months, a handful of children introduce themselves to the cricket fraternity via their exemplary efficiency within the event and make a case for themselves to be included of their respective nationwide sides.
The now-postponed 14th version of the T20 Extravaganza noticed the top-order batsman Rajat Patidar making his debut in IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). It was nothing lower than a dream for the Indian rookie as he obtained a chance to bat alongside the batting greats, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Glenn Maxwell.
