New Delhi: The Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Monday (April 19, 2021) determined to cancel the class 10 board examinations because of the ongoing COVID-19 situation within the nation.

The CISCE additionally mentioned that the standing of exams for ICSE board class 12 examination stays the identical because the earlier order, that it is going to be performed at a later date.

“Given the present worsening situation of the Covid- 19 Pandemic in the country, the CISCE has decided to CANCEL the ICSE (Class X) 2021 Examination. The options given in the earlier Circular dated 16 April 2021 now stands withdrawn,” the board mentioned in an official assertion.

It added, “The safety and wellbeing of our students and teaching faculty is our topmost priority and of paramount interest.” 

The CISCE acknowledged that it’s dedicated to devising ‘a good and an unbiased criterion’ as acknowledged earlier. The criterion on which foundation the outcomes can be declared for the ICSE (Class X) college students and the date of consequence declaration can be introduced by the CISCE later.

Class XI Admissions and begin of lessons for these college students

All CISCE affiliated colleges (having the ISC Section) have been suggested to start the admission course of for Class XI if not already began. In addition, all such colleges have been directed to organize a schedule to start on-line lessons for the Class XI college students on the earliest. 

The syllabus to be adopted is the ISC 2023 syllabus.
 

ICSE Board cancels class 10 exams

Earlier on April 16, the (*10*)CISCE had deferred the ICSE Classes 10 and 12 examinations and had mentioned that it’ll take a closing resolution on new dates of examination for class tenth and twelfth by the primary week of June.

The ICSE Board class 10 and 12 exams have been scheduled to be held from May 4.
