Kolkata: While ballot campaigning is at its peak forward of the West Bengal election 2021, leaders of a number of political events could be seen touchdown in controversy over their feedback and claims.

After BJP Bengal chief Dilip Ghosh’s “Bermuda” remarks in opposition to CM Mamata Banerjee went viral, TMC chief Sheikh Alam is garnering consideration together with his “4 Pakistan” remark.

Sheikh Alam was addressing the gathering at Nanoor’s Basapara located within the Birbhum meeting constituency when he gave this controversial assertion.

His speech in Bengali interprets to “We are 30 percent and they are 70 percent. They will come to power with the support of the 70 percent, they should be ashamed. If our Muslim population moves to one side then we can create 4 new Pakistans. Where will this 70 percent of the population go?”.

BJP has attacked TMC over the assertion as its IT cell head Amit Malviya tweeted a video of the assertion whereas writing: “He obviously owes his allegiance to Mamata Banerjee… Does she endorse this position? Do we want a Bengal like that?”

During the final meeting election, a minister of the Mamta Banerjee-led authorities had made an identical controversial comment. Just hours earlier than the fifth part of voting within the final meeting election, Minister Firhad Hakim had declared the Garden Reach space as “Mini Pakistan” which led to quite a lot of debates.

Meanwhile, if TMC and CM Mamata will make clear their place on Sheikh Alam’s assertion, stays to be seen.
