India has eliminated import duty on remdesivir, an anti-viral drug which is presently used to deal with Covid-19 sufferers. The Ministry of Finance, in a notification issued on late Tuesday evening, eliminated the duty on import of pharmaceutical substances used to fabricate of the drug.
Besides, ready-to-use remdesivir injection have been exempted as nicely.
“This notification shall remain in force upto and inclusive of the 31st October, 2021,” the ministry mentioned.
