New Delhi: On the deportation matter of Mehul Choksi, the Ministry of External affairs on Thursday mentioned all efforts will be made to bring him again. Choksi, who’s concerned within the multi-crore PNB rip-off and is in Dominica dealing with trial for illegally getting into into the nation. 

In a primary official response on the matter, the MEA spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi mentioned, “India stays steadfast in its efforts to make sure that fugitives are introduced again to India to face justice”.

Specifically speaking about Choksi, he mentioned, “We understand that he is currently in the custody of Dominican authorities and certain legal proceedings are underway. We will continue to make all efforts that he is brought back to India”.

Choksi had fled to Antigua after the fraud and brought the citizenship of the nation. In May he mysteriously disappeared solely to be present in Dominica. India has despatched a aircraft with authorized paperwork that would assist in his early repatriation from the Caribbean nation.
