Chandrasekhar also informed social media platforms that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), under Indian government will designate a Rule Seven officer.
“The expectation is set at a 100 per cent compliance rate from all platforms. This compliance measure extends to various categories of prohibited content on the Indian internet, encompassing concerns such as deepfakes and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM),” the Minister stated.
He talked about that the Rule Seven officer can be chargeable for making a consumer-pleasant platform the place residents can simply report situations of regulation violations by platforms. The Rule Seven officer will use this digital platform data to handle reported points promptly, simplifying the method for residents to deliver violations to the federal government’s consideration.
