As a part of Indian Railways’ challenge of redeveloping stations throughout the nationwide transporter’s community within the nation, the nodal company has formulated a first-of-its-kind ‘form-based codes’ for the business growth of railway land. The Indian Railways Station Development Corporation or IRSDC, chargeable for executing the station redevelopment challenge, has adopted the form-based codes method, as per the guidebook issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. According to a press release shared by the organisation, the transfer is geared toward railway land or railway station areas into Railopolis, primarily based on the rules of transit-oriented growth (TOD).
