A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly making a faux Instagram account of his former girlfriend and utilizing her father’s image to ship obscene messages to her kinfolk to take revenge, police stated on Sunday.
The accused has been recognized as Vivek, a resident of southwest Delhi’s Najafgarh space, they stated.
The girl, in her grievance at Cyber Police Station, alleged that an unknown particular person created a faux Instagram profile through the use of her title and her father’s footage, police stated.
The accused was sending threatening and obscene messages on the complainant’s Instagram account and to her kinfolk as effectively, they stated.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) M Harsha Vardhan stated that evaluation of the faux Instagram account revealed that the cell quantity used within the creation of the faux account belongs to Vivek.
“During the investigation, it came to notice that earlier the complainant and the alleged person were in a relationship for the last four years. Due to some reasons, the relationship broke up,” he stated.
“In order to take revenge and defame the complainant, he created a fake Instagram profile and sent obscene messages to the complainant and her relatives. Thereafter, the accused was arrested in this case,” he stated.
A cell phone which was used within the fee of the crime was recovered from his possession, he added.
