While presenting the Interim Budget 2024-25 in Parliament on Thursday, Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, introduced that it has been determined to improve the goal for Lakhpati Didi from two crore to three crore.

The Union Minister stated that 83 lakh Self Help Groups (SHGs) with 9 crore girls are reworking the agricultural socio-financial panorama with empowerment and self-reliance.

“Their success has assisted nearly one crore women to become Lakhpati Didi already. They are an inspiration to others. Their achievements will be recognised by honouring them,” stated the Finance Minister.
