IOC Session to be held in Mumbai from October 15 to 17

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Monday introduced that the one hundred and fortieth IOC Session would be held in Mumbai from (*15*) 15 to 17.

According to a press launch, an IOC Executive Board assembly will be held on (*15*) 12 and 13, prior to the IOC Session, whereas the (*17*) Ceremony of the IOC Session is scheduled for (*15*) 14.

The resolution to maintain the one hundred and fortieth IOC Session in India was taken by its members throughout the 139th assembly in Beijing in February. 

India received the bid to host the occasion after 75 members voted for it and one towards it. The IOC Session will return to India 40 years after the 86th version, which befell in New Delhi in 1983. 

The IOC Session, the final assembly of its members, is held at the very least yearly. The Olympic physique makes use of the event to resolve host cities for upcoming occasions, inclusion or exclusion of sports activities disciplines or worldwide federations and modifications to its Olympic Charter.
