In a serious blow to the aspirations of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 runners-up Delhi Capitals Shreyas Iyer will miss the entire 14th version of the T20 tournament, which will get underway on April 9. Iyer dislocated his shoulder through the first ODI in opposition to England in Pune on Tuesday (March 24).
Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal, in the meantime, issued a press release on his official Twitter profile on Iyer. Jindal wished him a speedy restoration and insisted that India ‘needs him in the T20 World Cup’.

Earlier, sources within the BCCI instructed PTI that Iyer is ready to bear surgical procedure on his left shoulder as he’s at present in extreme ache, which will rule him out of motion for no less than 4 months.
