An Israeli safety guard shot and killed a knife-wielding Palestinian lady at a checkpoint in the occupied West Bank on Saturday, police mentioned.
There was no rapid remark from Palestinian officers in regards to the incident, which came about on the Qalandiya crossing close to town of Ramallah in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
Police mentioned the 28-year-old lady approached the crossing and “ran towards the forces while holding a knife”.
“A civilian security guard who recognised what was happening called on her to stop several times,” a police assertion mentioned, including that when the girl continued to maneuver ahead “the security guard then fired several bullets”.
Police distributed a {photograph} of the knife they mentioned she was carrying.
