A day after India’s first photo voltaic observatory mission which was launched, the first Earth-bound firing to lift the orbit of the Aditya-L1, was carried out on September 3.
The ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network Work (ISTRAC) in Bengaluru carried out the manoeuvre.
The area company mentioned the satellite tv for pc is wholesome and working nominally. “The first Earth-bound maneuvre (EBN#1) is performed successfully from ISTRAC, Bengaluru. The new orbit attained is 245km x 22459 km. The next maneuvre (EBN#2) is scheduled for September 5, 2023, around 03:00 Hrs. IST,” ISRO posted on X (previously Twitter).
Post its profitable launch ISRO mentioned that the Aditya-L1 began producing the ability and that the photo voltaic panels are deployed.
Following the launch Aditya-L1 stays Earth-bound orbits for 16 days, throughout which it undergoes 5 manoeuvres to realize the required velocity for its journey.
Subsequently, Aditya-L1 undergoes a Trans-Lagrangian1 insertion manoeuvre, marking the start of its 110-day trajectory to the vacation spot across the L1 Lagrange level.
Upon arrival on the L1 level, one other manoeuvre binds Aditya-L1 to an orbit round L1, a balanced gravitational location between the Earth and the Sun.
The satellite tv for pc spends its entire mission life orbiting round L1 in an irregularly formed orbit in a airplane roughly perpendicular to the road becoming a member of the Earth and the Sun.
