The Delhi High Court on Wednesday criticised the Centre over the new protocol on the use of Remdesivir for COVID-19 remedy. The demand for Remdesivir has elevated exponentially throughout the nation amid the large second Covid wave.
“This is wrong. This is a complete non-application of mind. Now people who do not have oxygen will not get Remdesivir either. It appears you want people to die,” Justice Prathiba M Singh mentioned to the central authorities.
It appears the Centre was altering the protocol to scale back the scarcity of the drug, the excessive courtroom mentioned. “This is complete mismanagement,” the courtroom went on to add.

The Delhi High Court’s sharp response got here because it was listening to a plea by a lawyer who’s affected by COVID-19 and was in a position to get solely three out of the six doses of Remdesivir required.
Due to courtroom’s intervention, the lawyer received the remaining vials on Tuesday (April 27) evening.
