Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police in a joint operation arrested a terrorist affiliate and recovered incriminating materials from his possession in Budgam. The arrested individual is related to Lashkar and was in fixed contact along with his handlers in Pakistan.
Police say that appearing on particular data, a particular joint checkpoint was established by Police and CRPF at Harren Saibug space of Budgam. During checking, officers apprehended a terrorist affiliate recognized as Fayaz Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Hakarmula Budgam.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested terrorist affiliate was offering shelter, logistics and different materials assist together with transportation of arms and ammunition to the lively terrorists of proscribed terror outfit LeT in varied areas of Budgam.
The arrested terrorist affiliate has been in contact with the PaK terror commanders by varied social media platforms and was additionally in fixed contact with LeT self-styled terror commanders in Kashmir.
Incriminating materials together with posters of proscribed terror outfit LeT have been recovered from the possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 152/2021 underneath related sections of regulation has been registered in Police Station Budgam and investigation into the matter has been initiated.
