Jammu & Kashmir: NIA Attaches Multiple Properties Of JeM Terrorists In Pulwama | India News


In a handout, NIA stated that it’s going full-steam with its efforts to destroy the phobia community in Jammu and Kashmir (J&Ok). The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has connected as many as seven immovable properties of a high terrorist belonging to the banned Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist group.

According to a spokesman, the Terrorist Sartaj Ahmed Mantoo’s properties, together with land measuring 19 Marlas & 84 Sq ft at Kisarigam in Pulwama district of Kashmir, had been connected on Wednesday below Section 33 (1) of UA (P) Act, 1967, on the orders of NIA Special Court, Jammu.

Sartaj was arrested on thirty first January 2020, and several other arms, ammunitions & explosives had been recovered from his possession. He was charge-sheeted on twenty seventh July 2020 and is at the moment dealing with trial below related sections of Arms Act, IPC, Explosive Substances Act, UA (P) Act and Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1933, he stated.

Along along with his 5 co-accused members of JeM, he was concerned in transporting freshly infiltrated terrorists to the Kashmir valley. Since its formation in 2000 by Maulana Masood Azhar, JeM has carried out a number of terrorist assaults in India together with J&Ok. JeM was enlisted as a “Designated Foreign Terrorist Organization” by the United Nations Security council Resolution (UNSC) 1267 and the group’s chief Maulana Masood Azhar was designated as “Global Terrorist” in 2019 by the UNSC, he stated. 

NIA had, only a week in the past, connected six immovable properties of one other high terrorist of JeM in Kashmir as a part of its crackdown on terror operatives in J&Ok, reads the assertion.
