Jay Shah announces ‘Test Cricket Incentive Scheme’ to reward India players for prioritising red-ball format

The BCCI secretary Jay Shah has introduced a “Test Cricket Incentive Scheme” to reward the India players who prioritise the red-ball format and are at all times available to don the whites and play the longest format of the sport for the nation.

The scheme has taken impact from the 2022-23 season and can add loads of financial advantages to the Indian Test players. 

As per the scheme, there can be a further payout of INR 40 crore to the Indian Test cricketers. The players who can be part of the enjoying XI in additional than 50% of Tests performed in a season (assuming that it contains 5 to six Tests) will get 30 lakhs per match whereas those who can be part of the squad in all of the video games will get 15 lakhs per recreation. 

On the opposite hand, the players who will characteristic within the XI in additional than 75% of Tests performed in a season (assuming that it contains seven or extra Tests) will get 45 lakhs per match whereas those that can be related to the staff throughout all of the video games will get 22.5 lakhs every for each recreation.

Notably, the cash that can be provided within the Test Cricket Incentive Scheme can be as well as to the match charges.
