Jharkhand: Youths stage protest against govt’s recruitment policy; police use batons, tear gas shells

A conflict between protesters and police passed off when a bunch of youths tried to gherao the meeting against the Jharkhand authorities’s new recruitment coverage on Thursday. Police used batons and tear gas shells on the protesters to cease them. 

The police detained eight protestors in a bid to revive peace and later launched them, an officer stated. Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha instructed reporters that youths in giant numbers proceeded in direction of the meeting and a few of them threw stones. 

“In a bid to control them, police resorted to mild lathi charge and used tear gas,” he stated.
