Mumbai: Bollywood stars John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi starrer motion thriller ‘Mumbai Saga’ can have its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Tuesday (April 27).
Amazon Prime Video took to Instagram on Monday (April 26) and introduced the digital premiere of the just lately launched movie.
They wrote, “@TheJohnAbrahamv/s @emraanhashmi Whose side are you on? The chase begins tonight, watch #MumbaiSagaOnPrime.”
Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the movie options an ensemble star forged together with John and Emraan within the lead alongside Mahesh Manjrekar, Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Rohit Roy, Amole Gupte, Samir Soni, Gulshan Grover, and Anjana Sukhani.
Mumbai Saga is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anuradha Gupta, and Sangeeta Ahir.
The plot of the movie chronicles a fictional story of the duel between Amartya Rao (John Abraham) and Senior Inspector Vijay Sawarkar (Emraan Hashmi) that explores totally different tangents of hopes, aspirations, friendships and betrayals towards the backdrop of Mumbai within the early 90s.
However, ‘Mumbai Saga’ is a story of the Bombay that it was and the Mumbai that it turned. Talking concerning the digital launch of the movie, the ‘Force’ actor mentioned, “The film launched in cinema halls this March and I’m delighted with the response from followers who watched the film. Mumbai Saga will now premiere on Amazon Prime Video and this sense of sharing our arduous work internationally is superb. Mumbai Saga is my third challenge with Sanjay after having labored collectively on Zinda and Shootout at Wadala.
“I absolutely love working with him as I believe he brings out the best in me and more importantly, he understands the pulse of the audience and delivers films that are loved by them. Mumbai Saga is an out and out entertainer, the audiences will enjoy. I essay the character of Amartya Rao, a gangster, which is very different from the ones I have done in the past. It was a delight to work alongside Emraan for the very first time. We shared some great moments on the set while shooting for the film,” he added.
Speaking about his collaboration with Sanjay Gupta for the primary time in ‘Mumbai Saga’, the ‘Murder’ star mentioned, “I am thrilled to announce the digital premiere of Mumbai Saga on Amazon Prime Video. Mumbai Saga is very close to my heart.”
“Vijay Savarkar’s character, whereas being a cop, has some gray shades to it, and that is one thing that excited me to take this position on. Sanjay is a prolific director who has created probably the most iconic motion movies in Indian cinema, and I used to be thrilled when he approached me to take on this highly effective position,”mentioned Hashmi.
The gangster drama produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anuradha Gupta, and Sangeeta Ahir, was launched in theatres on March 19.
