A Delhi Court on Monday turned down a plea for interim bail filed by jailed BRS chief K Kavitha. Earlier, the lawmaker from Telangana had urged the court on April 4 for enlarging her on interim bail on account of her 16-year-old son’s exams for which he wanted his mom’s “moral and emotional support”. Kavitha’s advocate Nitesh Rana advised the court that the CBI thwarted the due technique of legislation by submitting a plea in search of permission to query her “behind her back”.
“I have grave apprehension that CBI may not have divulged true facts in order to obtain a favourable order from the court,” Rana mentioned.
He urged the court to maintain its Friday order permitting Kavitha’s questioning in judicial custody in abeyance till she has been heard.
The court heard the submission and posted the matter for listening to on April 10 after the CBI sought time to answer to Kavitha’s plea.
