Mumbai: A significant fire broke out at ND film Studio, owned by main artwork director Nitin Desai, close to Khalapur in Raigad district of Maharashtra on Friday, police mentioned.
The blaze erupted round 12.15 pm and no casualty has been reported to this point, they mentioned.
The fire broke out at the set of ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, a 2008 film starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, an official mentioned.
Plywood, PoP and different issues had been gutted in the fire, he mentioned.
“Several fire-fighting vehicles from MIDC, Karjat, Khopoli and neighbouring areas were rushed to the spot and efforts to douse the flames were on,” he mentioned.
The actual cause behind the fire is being ascertained, he mentioned.
The fire brigade and police personnel are at the spot.
