‘Karnan’ First Look: Dhanush Announces The Release Date Of His Upcoming Action-Drama

New Delhi: One of Dhanush’s most awaited movies ‘Karnan’ is all set for a theatrical release this year. The South Indian superstar announced this news on his social media and shared the first look of his upcoming movie with a poster.

While sharing, the ‘Atrangi Re’ actor wrote, “#Karnan first look and “THEATRICAL RELEASE”date !!”

Sharing the poster, Dhanush revealed that his upcoming action-drama will release theatrically on April 9, 2021. The poster features Dhanush in a handcuff and bleeding from the forehead and hands. The expression of the ‘Asuran’ star is appreciable. Though trapped, the rage in his eyes is completely visible in the poster.

Helmed by Mari Selvaraj, ‘Karnan’ has been produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu. Earlier, Dhanush also thanked the producer of the film for releasing the upcoming film in the big screens in a statement.

“’Karnan’ releases April 2021 in theatres. A much needed encouraging news at the right time. Thank you Thanu sir for thinking of the theatre owners, distributors, exhibitors and everybody who’s livelihood is dependant on films and theatres, even though you had other options. A big thank you on behalf of my fans as this means a lot to them. Love you all. Spread Love”, read the statement.

Other than ‘Karnan’, Dhanush is also awaiting the release of his upcoming film ‘Jagame Thanthiram’. He also has ‘Atrangi Re’ in his kitty alongside Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Dhanush, who set off his foot in the film industry in the year 2002 with the movie ‘Thulluvadho Ilamai’, made his Bollywood debut in the year 2013 movie ‘Raanjhanaa’ opposite Sonam Kapoor. He then starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the 2015 movie ‘Shamitabh’.
