The Opposition Congress on Thursday launched its second checklist of candidates comprising 42 names for the Karnataka Assembly elections, whereas the ruling BJP is about to finalise its first checklist in the course of the get together’s parliamentary board assembly on Saturday.
Another Opposition get together, the JD (S), has deferred the discharge of its second checklist by just a few extra days.
In the second checklist, the Congress accommodated 4 migrants who got here from the ruling BJP and the JD (S). However, former Kadur MLA Y.S.V. Datta, who stop the JD (S) not too long ago, has missed the ticket.
Another fascinating characteristic of the second checklist is that the get together is but to take a name on the candidate for the Kolar seat, including fodder to speculations that the chief of the Opposition, Siddaramaiah, who has been fielded from Varuna constituency, is eying Kolar too as a protected seat.
