Karnataka Election: BJP’s 1st List Of 189 Candidates Out, 52 New Names, CM To Contest From Shiggaon | India News


The BJP at the moment introduced its first record of 189 candidates for the Karnataka meeting election. The record included 52 new faces, together with some Congress turncoats. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has been fielded from Shiggaon constituency, his present seat. 

The BJP’s election committee met in Delhi on April 9 to finalise the names for 224 meeting seats. Bommai, chatting with media, mentioned {that a} second record can be out quickly.  Other key BJP leaders Ramesh Jarkiholi and Govind M Karjol will contest from (*52*) and Mudhol, respectively. The record was launched on the occasion headquarters in Delhi by BJP’s Karnataka election in-charge minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Karnataka in-charge Arun Singh within the presence of different leaders. Arun Singh mentioned that the record contains 52 recent faces, whereas there are 32 candidates from the OBC class, 30 from the Scheduled Castes and 16 from the Scheduled Tribes.

Expressing confidence concerning the occasion`s victory, Singh mentioned that the folks of the state belief Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. While then again, he alleged that the Congress is dropping house in Karnataka and is crippled by infighting whereas the Janata Dal-Secular is “a sinking ship”. Karnataka will go to polls on May 10. The counting of votes can be taken up on May 13.
